Digging a Drain

Friday 20th November

Our friends Mandy and Len left early this morning to catch the St Malo ferry to Portsmouth. It's been a wet and windy day but very mild. We spent some time clearing leaves and other vegetation from the far side of the barn where lots of water was pooling. We then dug a trench so the water drains into the pond. I'm getting very fond of these little goats!

Lovely to have your company!

  1. The goats are cuties! Before we bought our house (with no garden & a tiny courtyard) I'd planned to have goats and a donkey. Funny how things turn out!!
I love yourr header picture too. It looks like a real home.

  2. Is there a goat in your future? They are cute -- and helpful too!

  3. I hope the goats are doing a good job of eating the brambles. Have a good day Diane

  4. What are brambles exactly? Thorny weeds? Are those pygmy goats? They are so small and cute. Great idea about routing the water to the pond.
