Pottering, Friends and the Seaside

Feeling quite tired after our visitors had left, we pottered about for a few days managing to get some outstanding jobs done. A Breton tradesman, who had fitted our wood burner, came by to re-install the sink in the downstairs toilet. We also made time to catch up with some friends. We spent a lovely morning at Pierre and Gabrielle's, drinking coffee, eating French cakes and then walking in their beautiful garden. We popped by and had a nice chat with Henri and Yvette. Also, Maureen, popped by our house for a cup of tea. Maureen is a Facebook friend, who I had only met in person briefly and who lives nearby.

We moved and reconstructed the goat pen.

After a few days pottering and socialising, we had a night away in Harvey J. We decided to try somewhere new and headed to Penmarc'h on the South West coast. Unfortunately the sat nav stopped working on the way and we had to resort to the old way of doing things....reading a map!!

We found an overnight aire for the motorhome at St GuenolĂ©.

It was just minutes away from the rocky coastline. We went for a beautiful walk along the coast and long sandy beach.

It was lovely to have a break away at the seaside.

Thanks for popping by!

  1. Great pictorial for us armchair travelers! I can't make out which is more appealing, the very contented domesticity around your stone house or the stunning rays from heaven at the rocky coast.

  3. Great photos and a nice break, love the sky shots. You have had a long spell in France this time it seems, any chance of it becoming permanent? Keep well Diane
